Survivor
I created this piece to express how it felt surviving child sexual abuse, and how the recovery process often feels. I hope that by sharing this piece I can help other survivors feel less alone and express what they're going through. I also hope that by selling this piece on Etsy, and by donating a portion of the proceeds to RAINN, I can help others on their recovery journey. Locked Emotions
By Janet B.
As a therapy assignment, I first drew my emotions and then locked them up so that I could leave them there safely and come back to them at a later time rather than be overwhelmed by them.

Recovery Flower
By Janet B.
This is a recovery flower that I created while at The Meadows Trauma Treatment Center. The petals of the flower depict the things that were important to me for my recovery.

By Janet B.
In my initial attempt at therapy many years ago, I was asked to draw pictures of the emotions I felt in my stomach.
